Big Mail Boxes

Big Mail Boxes – For People With Tons of Mail

Many consumers need big mail boxes to keep up with the large demand of incoming mail. No one wants to receive mangled mail that was shoved into their tiny mailbox. A large mailbox is just what they need.

Larger mailboxes are needed to cope with the trend towards bigger pieces of mail. Large mailboxes are just that, they are large. They are designed to hold several days worth of mail so the homeowner doesn’t have to check the mail every day. Most of the large mailboxes come equipped with a locking mechanism to deter mail theft.

Some consumers use large mailboxes so they can receive oversize catalogs and magazines without the edges getting crinkled or torn pages. Most large mailboxes are available as post mounted boxes, and many come as a one-piece set.

Some large mailboxes are also available as wall mount. Many oversize mailboxes are manufactured from highly durable plastics, galvanized metals or steel. Some of the wall mounted boxes are of the rectangle variety and many are beautifully decorated with distinctive styles.

When erecting an oversize mailbox, the box should be positioned near the edge of the driveway (just like a regular size box) and away from sprinklers. The approach to the mailbox should be clear of obstacles to allow safe access for mail delivery. The box should be approximately 42 to 46 inches tall. Every mailbox must prominently display the owner’s name, street number and street name in letters at least one inch high on the side of the box with the flag (or on the door if the mailboxes are grouped). Installing a large mail box is an easy solution to many homeowner’s problem of the increasing amount of daily mail.
